I have photography running in my blood.
I am the third generation in my family working in the photographic arts. Having trained as a camera assistant under my Father, Colin, I went on to study Film & TV at Edinburgh College of Art where I was awarded a First Class Degree.
In 2003 I gained a place at The National Film & Television School. Whilst there, I was awarded the The Freddie Francis Scholarship and graduated with distinction in 2005 with an MA in Cinematography. In the same year I won the Broadcast Magazine’s prestigious Award for ‘Best Young Camera Person’.
Following that success, I have gone on to shoot a variety of productions from documentary and drama, to digital content and commercials.
In 2010 I won an IVCA Gold award for Cinematography for the film ‘1001 Inventions and the Library of Secrets’, starring Sir Ben Kingsley. More recently I have worked on productions for the BBC, Amazon, and Netflix.
I am co-director of lighting company LITEWORX and own a Canon camera package including C500MKII, C70 & R5 camera kits and DJI Mini 3 Pro drone. I am well versed in all current digital shooting formats as well 16 & 35mm film. I have a current iVisa and extensive experience shooting in the US and beyond.
